Children’s mobile publisher Toca Boca is heading further into the consumer products space, following a partnership with Penguin Random House Children’s UK to launch products inspired by the studio’s gaming IPs.
Penguin Random House Children’s Ladybird imprint will bow sticker scene title Toca Life: Holiday!: Super Sticker Book in August, followed by Toca Life: Busy Day: Super Sticker Book in December. Aimed at children ages five and up, the upcoming range marks Toca Boca’s first physical products to bow in the UK.
The global agreement (excluding North America) will see additional titles launch in 2019.
The Penguin Random House Children’s deal comes as Spin Master-owned Toca Boca continues to expand its consumer products offerings. Last July, the company launched its first-ever collection of physical products—a gender-neutral lifestyle line featuring apparel, accessories, sleepwear, backpacks, lunch bags, bedding and activity books. Inspired by the Toca Life digital brand, the range is currently available at US Target stores.
