Universal Studios Hollywood has added a dedicated Hello Kitty shop inside its new Animation Studio Store, which will also include products featuring Illumination Entertainment and DreamWorks Animation characters. Hello Kitty will be featured alongside fellow Sanrio characters including My Melody, Keroppi and Chocoat in exclusive accessories, apparel, stationery and collectibles.

To incorporate Hello Kitty into the Universal family, Sanrio characters will headline exclusive product designs with classic characters from Jaws, E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial and Back to the Future. Additional park-exclusive merchandise will be released regularly.

The 6,000-square-foot Animation Studio Store will also be home to products inspired by Despicable Me, Kung Fu Panda, Dr. Seuss, Curious George and SpongeBob SquarePants characters.

Sanrio, for one, has been bolstering its Hello Kitty theme park efforts recently, bringing on InstaVR to build virtual reality content experiences at its attraction in Japan.
