eOne inks deal for PJ Masks theme park attraction

Entertainment One has joined forces with Italian theme park Leolandia to launch the first attraction inspired by the animated preschool series.

Entertainment One (eOne) has inked an agreement with Italian theme park Leolandia to launch the first themed attraction inspired by its animated preschool series PJ Masks.

The exclusive, multi-year agreement will see a PJ Masks attraction open outside Milan in 2019. Currently under development, the dedicated area at Leolandia will bring the show’s heroes and headquarters to life in various attractions, live entertainment and restaurant services.

The agreement extends the theme park’s partnership with eOne, following their previous collaboration on the Il Mondo di Peppa Pig attraction in 2014.

PJ Masks airs daily in Italy on Disney Junior and RAI Yoyo. The show’s second season is currently rolling out globally, and season three is now in production. Consumer products inspired by the series launched in Italy last February, including a line from master toy partner Just Play.

eOne continues to focus on live and location-based brand extensions for the PJ Masks brand. Last year, the company partnered with Round Room Presents to launch the first live stage show based on the series. Time to Be a Hero! is a fully immersive live production with music and aerobatics. Following months of touring in the US and Canada, eOne now has plans to launch the show globally.
