Parisian prodco Superprod is developing an animated show based on the French book series Zero Waste Kids.

The adaptation will target digital platforms, with two- to three-minute episodes aimed at kids ages seven and up. Currently in development, the toon’s first episodes are expected to launch in fall 2018.

Written by Jérémie Pichon, illustrated by Bénédicte Moret and published by Thierry Souccar Editions, Zero Waste Kids teaches children how they can contribute to environmental protection. The book series follows a family embarking on a Zero Waste adventure, with tips for making everything environmentally friendly.

In 2016, Superprod struck a deal with Simon & Schuster, Universal Music Publishing and Startling Music to adapt Ringo Starr’s song-inspired book Octopus Garden as an animated TV series.
