Nickelodeon takes Bubble Guppies live

The kidcaster has teamed up with VStar Entertainment Group and Koba Productions to launch a live theatrical production inspired by the preschool series.

Nickelodeon, VStar Entertainment Group and Koba Productions are readying the launch of a live theatrical production entitled Bubble Guppies Live! Ready to Rock. Based on Nickelodeon’s preschool series Bubble Guppiesthe US tour will visit more than 30 locations beginning in March 2018.

The stage show follows the Bubble Guppies as they search for a missing band member with help from friends like Mr. Grouper. It will feature music, dancing, comedy and audience participation. Information on upcoming locations, dates, times and tickets are available online.

Earlier this year, Nick and VStar Entertainment partnered to launch a second PAW Patrol-themed stage show. PAW Patrol Live! The Great Pirate Adventure began touring in the US in October and will roll out internationally next year. The IP’s first live show, PAW Patrol Live! Race to the Rescue, will also continue to tour through 2018.

The trend of location-based brand extensions–and live shows in particular–shows no signs of slowing down. Moose Toys took to the stage this year with the first live show inspired by its collectibles brand Shopkins, eOne launched a show inspired by its preschool series PJ Masks and, last week, Nelvana announced that its original series Ranger Rob would come to life in a global tour.
