Nickelodeon has partnered with Danskin to launch two collections inspired by singer, dancer and actress JoJo Siwa. The lines mark the first-ever kids collaboration for Danskin, the dance and activewear brand owned by Iconix Brand Gorup.
JoJo Freestyle by Danskin is available exclusively in-store and online at Target stores across the US. JoJo by Danskin, meanwhile, will launch at Kohl’s locations in April 2018. The apparel, which include traditional dancewear, gymnastics and athleisure apparel, features rainbow prints, bows, inspiring graphic quotes, gold foil and rhinestones.
Siwa first rose to fame at the age of eight as the youngest contestant ever on Abby’s Ultimate Dance Competition. She then went on to appear on US net Lifetime’s reality series Dance Moms and has a YouTube channel boasting more than 984 million views. Siwa recently signed on to work alongside host Nick Cannon as a commentator on Nickelodeon’s new spinoff series Lip Sync Battle Shorties. Based on Viacom-owned Spike’s hit show Lip Sync Battle, the 10-episode kids version is created and executive produced by Casey Patterson Entertainment and Matador Content, and will premiere in early 2018.
Last year, Nickelodeon reached an exclusive licensing partnership with Siwa to develop consumer products, and Nick’s collaboration with Danskin is the latest offering in a growing line that includes accessories, apparel, arts and crafts, beauty, consumer electronics, home goods and toys.
