The second season of DreamWorks Animation TV and Netflix’s breakout hit Trollhunters will drop on December 15.

Produced by DreamWorks Animation TV, the 26 x half-hour series follows Jim, who finds a magical amulet that turns him into a Trollhunter, defender of the Trolls. The main character is voiced by Anton Yelchin, who tragically died last year in a car accident but finished his voice work for season two prior to his death.

Trollhunters was created and is executive produced by Guillermo del Toro, with Marc Guggenheim (Arrow, Legends of Tomorrow), Rodrigo Blaas (Alma), Chad Hammes (Dragon: Race to the Edge) and Christina Steinberg (Rise of the Guradians) serving as executive producers. Dan Hageman and Kevin Hageman (The LEGO Movie, Ninjago) are also executive producers.

The first season nabbed six Daytime Emmys, including Outstanding Writing, Directing and Performer (Kelsey Grammer) in an Animated Program. Bowing December 23, 2016, the first 26 episodes have been the SVOD’s biggest simultaneous drop of an original series. Trollhunters also helped Netflix break its quarterly record for global sign-ups and is the SVOD’s most-watched kids original ever.
