Henson ups Halle Stanford to president of TV

In her new role, the prodco's former EVP of children's entertainment will add the development of primetime productions to her existing kids TV remit.

Longtime exec at The Jim Henson Company, Halle Stanford,  has been promoted to president of television at the prodco. She is adding new primetime development and production duties to her current remit of overseeing Henson’s kids slate as EVP of children’s entertainment.

Stanford will also be focused on a new deal between Henson and United Talent Agency (UTA) that encompasses building partnerships, expanding the company’s talent base and growing its primetime slate of productions. The deal is also designed to expand VR, gaming and digital initiatives for Henson.

She is currently executive producer on upcoming Netflix series The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance and eight additional Henson series, including Word Party, Julie’s Greenroom, Dot.Dinosaur Train, Sid the Science Kid and Splash and Bubbles. With Henson since 1993, Stanford has previously been nominated for nine Emmys as a children’s TV producer.
