APC Kids, the children’s entertainment distribution arm of London-based boutique financier and distributor About Premium Content, has signed new Canadian and European deals for its animated series Kid-E-Cats.

Broadcasters YLE in Finland, TG4 in Ireland, TV Puls in Poland and Knowledge Network in Canada have picked up the 52 x five-minute series.

Kid-E-Cats follows three kittens who are always jumping into action to solve problems in funny ways. It is based on an original Russian series produced by CTC Media and Studio Metrafilm, currently airing on CTC and Carousel in Russia. This international English-language version has Nigel Pickard serving as executive producer and Ceri Barnes (Floogals) as story editor.

The sales come on the heels of Nick Jr. picking up the toon’s first season to air in 143 countries including the UK, Benelux, Germany and Switzerland.
