Italian producer and distributor Mondo TV is bringing new children’s 3D CGI series Robot Trains to the European market for the first time. Starting on September 4, the first season will air daily on Italy’s DeA Junior, a pay-TV channel on the Sky Platform.

Produced by South Korea’s CJ E&M, the 32 x 11-minute action-adventure series for kids ages four to seven is set in Train World, where special trains can turn into robots. Licensing is already well underway in Korea, where toys, publishing, kitchenware, food, back to school and stationery goods have launched.

Robot Trains is distributed and licensed by Mondo, which is looking to further expand the toon’s reach in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the Pacific region. Mondo TV Suisse, meanwhile, recently partnered with CJ E&M to co-produce Robot Trains’ second season.
