Disney extends trio of comedy series

The House of Mouse has renewed three comedy series aimed at the six-to-14 age group: Disney Channel’s Stuck in the Middle (pictured), BUNK’D and Disney XD’s Walk the Prank have all received third-season orders.

Stuck in the Middle—from executive producer Linda Videtti Figueiredo (Rules of Engagement)—centers on Harley Diaz, the middle child in a family of nine. The sitcom follows the misadventures of a bustling household filled with the conflicting personalities and schedules. The show’s third season will continue to focus on STEM by highlighting Harley’s inventions.New episodes from the second season of Stuck in the Middle, meanwhile, will premiere on September 15 and air weekly on Disney Channel and VOD.

BUNK’D, the live-action comedy from executive producer Pamela Eells O’Connel, follows three siblings as they leave their New York City penthouse for a rustic summer camp in Maine. Over the past year, the show has reached 61 million total TV viewers and amassed 25 million engagements via Disney Channel VOD and the Disney Channel App.

Walk the Prank, from executive producers Adam Small and Trevor Moore, blends scripted comedy and hidden-camera pranks. The series is Disney XD’s top show on VOD and through its app, with 21 million engagements. Additionally, Walk the Prank has reached more than 104 million total viewers across the US with an additional 122 million views through YouTube. New episodes of the series will begin airing on October 2 on Disney XD, Disney XD App and VOD.
