Turner EMEA has commissioned Ben 10 Challenge, a new live game show inspired by Cartoon Network’s recently relaunched animated series Ben 10.

The 10 x 22-minute game show will follow two teams as they compete in physical and mental challenges, and are tested on their Ben 10 knowledge. Each team will feature two young fans and one supportive adult, mimicking the close-knit family trio of the animated show’s heroes Ben, Gwen and Grandpa Max.

Turner EMEA has partnered with Spanish production company La Competencia Productions on the new game show, and filming begins in Madrid at the end of this month. The new series will premiere later this year, with eight local versions in France, Germany, Italy, the Middle East, Poland, Spain, Turkey and the UK set to be created.

The new season of Ben 10 premiered on Cartoon Network across EMEA in October, and the toon made its free-to-air premiere in the UK last month. The show has since been picked up for a second season, and Cartoon Network has also ordered new mobile and console games for the series.

Ben 10 is produced by Cartoon Network and created and executive produced by Man of Action Entertainment (Big Hero 6, Generator Rex).
