Eighteen months since receiving the greenlight from Amazon Studios, new original animated comedy Danger & Eggs is officially set to make its Amazon Prime debut on June 30 in the US and UK.
Created by Yo Gabba Gabba!‘s Mike Owens and Shadi Petosky, the original comedy aimed at kids ages six to 11 features Aidy Bryant (Saturday Night Live) voicing lead character D.D. Danger, the teal-haired daughter of a world-renowned stunt daredevil.
Eric Knobel (Huge Theater) stars as a giant talking egg with whom D.D. Danger embarks on adventures. Additional voice stars include Weird Al, Lori Petty (Tanky Girl), Charlyne Yi (Knocked Up), Kate Micucci (Garfunkle and Oates), Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Scott Pilgrim), Jasika Nicole (Fringe), Felicia Day (Geek and Sundry), Jonah Ray (Nerdist, Mystery Science Theater), Angelica Ross and Jazz Jennings (I Am Jazz).
All 13 episodes will be available to Prime Video subscribers across compatible TVs, connected devices like Amazon Fire TV, and online at the Kids Originals website.
Owens and Petosky serve as executive producers for the series alongside Chris Hardwick (Talking Dead, @Midnight). The toon was originally part of Amazon’s fall 2015 pilot season.
