As brand immersion for fans continues to grow at major entertainment gatherings like Comic-Con and Disney’s D23 Expo, Hasbro is throwing its hat into the convention ring from September 8 to 10 with its first-ever fan event, HASCON FANmily.
Tickets are officially available for fans to attend the event at the Rhode Island Convention Center and Dunkin’ Donuts Center, where the three-day celebration of Hasbro’s most iconic properties, including My Little Pony, Transformers, G.I. Joe and NERF, will feature a raft of panels, interactive experiences, exclusive products and talent meet-and-greets.
Among the first wave of talent announced for the event are Marvel Comics legend Stan Lee, original Transformers voice actors Peter Cullen (Optimus Prime) and Frank Welker (Megatron), sports YouTube group Dude Perfect, Transformers and G.I. Joe producer Lorenzo Di Bonaventura, voice talent Andrea Libman and Cathy Weseluck (My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, My Little Pony: The Movie) and even viral hit “Chewbacca Mom” Candace Payne.
Coming off Q1 sales driven by 43% growth in its Gaming category, HASCON will also feature interactive experiences with oversized games including Pie-Face and Toilet Trouble, Beyblade and NERF battles, a Play-Doh creation zone and photo opportunities with costumed characters from Hasbro brand partners DreamWorks Trolls and Sesame Street.
In addition, fans ages three to 15 will be able to audition for Hasbro commercials and voice work on the toyco’s animated series.
The event will also feature several Disney-inspired activities for popular properties like Disney Princess, Frozen, Elena of Avalor, Moana and Descendants 2, as well as Star Wars and Marvel’s Avengers, Spider-Man and Guardians of the Galaxy.
