Scholastic has signed on as global master publishing partner for Moon and Me, the new preschool brand from Bento Box Entertainment’s kids and family division, Sutikki.
Created by Andrew Davenport (Teletubbies, In the Night Garden, pictured) and produced by Sutikki and Davenport’s Foundling Bird, Moon and Me will premiere on CBeebies in 2018. The series is inspired by stories of toys that come to life when nobody is looking, and follows two characters from different worlds as they become friends.
Davenport will serve as the principal author for the upcoming Scholastic publishing range, which will launch in multiple territories beginning next fall. Editorial development for the titles will be led by Scholastic’s UK team.
Scholastic is the latest big name on board the brand, which added Hasbro as global master toy licensee earlier this year. Sutikki, which was launched by former Nelvana execs Irene Weibel and Andrew Kerr last October, oversees the IP’s global distribution and merchandise licensing efforts.
