Nick launches SpongeBob Gold fashion line

The 27-piece line inspired by long-running hit SpongeBob SquarePants is part of the network’s year-long celebration of the animated icon.

Inspired by Nickelodeon’s SpongeBob SquarePants, a new SpongeBob Gold fashion line will launch at Wonderland Shop in London next month. The collection will be available at Wonderland’s 192 Piccadilly location and online.

SpongeBob Gold is a collaboration with UK designers Peter Jensen, Bobby Abley and Bad Denim. Italy’s Salar and Maria Francesca Pepe and Korean designer Suecomma Bonnie is also on board the 27-piece line. It’s part of a year-long SpongeBob Gold international campaign featuring clothing, footwear, accessories and jewelry.

The line will also be available through UK fashion site Farfetch from the end of May, and the participating designers will sell the products through their websites and select international retailers beginning this summer.

Nickelodeon will continue to celebrate the iconic animated character this year with activations on-air, online and through social media. The campaign will also include additional product and retail launches. SpongeBob SquarePants first premiered in the US in 1999 and currently airs in more than 180 countries around the world.
