ProSiebenSat.1 Licensing takes on Maggie & Bianca

The agreement covers consumer products based on Rainbow’s live-action tween series in German-speaking regions.

ProSiebenSat.1 Licensing has added Rainbow’s first live-action series, Maggie & Bianca: Fashion Friends, to its consumer products portfolio. The agreement between the Italian animation studio and ProSiebenSat.1 Group’s licensing division is for German-speaking regions, and will involve tailored 360-degree partner campaigns for the brand.

The tween-skewing series focused on fashion, music and friendship and airs daily on Italy’s Rai Gulp. The show’s second 26 x half-hour season debuted in January, and a third season is currently in production. Since its August 2016 premiere, Maggie & Bianca has been picked up by Netflix globally, as well as by Gulli (France), Karousel (Russia), TV Cultura (Brazil) and Disney Channel GSA (Germany, Austria and Switzerland).

Rainbow has signed a number of L&M agreements for the property, including with Simba Toys (pan-European master toy partner) and Mondadori Libri (publishing).
