February 1, 2017

Paris-based awol animation has made its first round of international sales for live-action/animated series Footy Pups.

Created by Dot to Dot Productions for CBeebies, the show will air on BBC Worldwide in Africa and the Middle East, Thai Public Service Broadcasting, TVB Hong Kong and EBS Korea.

The 30 x 15-minute series is hosted by Olympic soccer (football) champion Rachel Yankey, who teaches a new skill alongside her team of five Footy Pups. The show was picked up for a second season last summer.

Thai PBS and Mini Mini + in Poland also picked up the fully animated spin-off show GO, GO FOOTY PUPS (60 x seven minutes). The spin-off follows the pups as they play soccer against teams made up of other animals, including pigs and cheetahs.

The international deals follow another Dot to Dot Production, School of Roars, being picked up for distribution last week.
