SpacePOP launches Toys “R” Us line

Genius Brands' YouTube series for tween girls has inspired an exclusive line of beauty and bath products, dolls, books, board games and more.

Genius Brands International’s girl-skewing SpacePOP brand will launch an exclusive Toys “R” Us line stateside beginning next month.

Aimed at seven- to 12-year-olds, the line will feature a variety of products from several licensees, including beauty and bath products (Taste Beauty); deluxe collector fashion dolls (Madame Alexander); headphones and microphones (KID designs); the second SpacePOP chapter book Rockin’ The Rebellion (Macmillan Children’s Publishing Group); bling bags (Commonwealth/License 2 Play); bags, backpacks and water bottles (FAB Starpoint); socks, umbrellas and cold weather accessories (Berkshire Fashions); activity sets (Canal Toys); board games and puzzles (Goliath); novelty candy (Flix Candy); and DVDs (Sony Pictures Home Entertainment).

SpacePOP will also be releasing a new CD that includes a single from YouTube star Angelic, in partnership with Sony Music/Legacy Recordings.

The products will also be promoted by Angelic and YouTube influencer Sophia Grace (of Ellen DeGeneres Show fame).

The SpacePOP series has more than 100 episodes that include original music from Ron Fair (producer for Fergie, Black Eyed Peas and Mary J. Blige) and his wife, singer-songwriter Stefanie Fair. The series follows five teenage princesses disguised as musicians, who are plotting to get rid of an evil Empress trying to enslave the galaxy.

The TRU launch follows several recent expansions for the SpacePOP property, which debuted in early 2016. In August, the SpacePOP series expanded its reach to more than 50 million US households via Kabillion Girls Rule!, which also coincided with the launch of SpacePOP on Genius Brands’ Kid Genius VOD channel.
