Think all of the lights, the dancers, the music and the lip syncing—but mini. Nickelodeon is set to broadcast a one-hour special edition of Lip Sync Battle for kids, entitled Lip Sync Battle Shorties.

Hosted by Modern Family actress Sarah Hyland, the special will air on Nickelodeon on December 11 at 8 p.m., and then again on Spike on December 14.

Rather than celebrities, the special will feature four regular kids lip syncing to their favourite songs. There will also be a Lip Sync Battle Shorties Dance Crew and a supporting cast made up of kids, including DJ M.C. and a backstage correspondent.

Lip Sync Battle, which regularly airs on Viacom-owned Spike and is hosted by Chrissy Teigen and LL Cool J, has been expanding quickly since its debut in 2015. On top of extending to an app, the series now reaches more than 150 countries worldwide.
