Toronto, Canada-based producer and distributor Portfolio Entertainment has inked a number of international deals for Doki (pictured) and The Cat in the Hat Knows A Lot About That!
The first season of Doki, which follows a curious dog and his friends as they travel around the world to answer important preschool questions, was acquired by National Geographic Channel, which will air the 26 x half-hour animated series in the Middle East and North Africa. The first and second seasons of the show were also picked up by Studio U7′s Channel Ryzhy in Russia.
Portfolio has already secured global TV sales for Doki this year, with agreements in the Middle East, Africa, Greece, Germany, Taiwan and Canada. In addition to the TV sales, video and entertainment service PlayKids has now bought the SVOD rights to DOKI (10 x 11 minutes) for the UK, Ireland, the US and Canada.
PlayKids has also picked up the first season of the 10 x 11-minute Dr. Seuss-inspired preschool series The Cat in the Hat Knows A Lot About That! for its SVOD service in the UK, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand.
Earlier this year, Portfolio made sales for its The Cat in the Hat Knows A Lot About That! TV movies in Sweden, Latin America, Germany, Israel and Poland.
