Toronto, Canada-based Boat Rocker Media (The Next Step, The Loud House) has created two key roles within its senior ranks, promoting Samantha Traub to COO and Michel Pratte to CRO.
Traub, who previously served as the company’s SVP of business and legal affairs, will manage Boat Rocker’s production teams as well as oversee its HR department. Traub has played a key role in the recent acquisition flurry that has seen Boat Rocker acquire Jam Filled Entertainment in August and Radical Sheep earlier this year. (That deal saw Radical Sheep become the original kids and family content arm of production-focused Boat Rocker Studios.)
In addition to her new responsibilities, Traub will continue to lead Boat Rocker’s legal and business affairs team, and manage the company’s legal dealings.
Meanwhile, Pratte will lead Boat Rocker’s Rights, Brands and Ventures (which includes Industrial Brothers and The Outline) divisions, while also retaining his leadership of the company’s M&A and corporate development activities.
Pratte has led the expansion of Boat Rocker’s family and children’s division, and also headed up the launch of Boat Rocker’s digital division and its corporate development strategy.
Both Traub and Pratte will report to CEO John Young.
