Scholastic taps Mindy Stockfield for SVP role

The former Viacom, Disney and Cartoon Network exec has been tapped as SVP of marketing at Scholastic Trade Publishing.

Former Viacom and Disney exec Mindy Stockfield has been named SVP of marketing, creative and multiplatform at Scholastic Trade Publishing.

Effective December 1, Stockfield will lead a team across brand and retail marketing, publicity, digital initiatives and creative services. With a focus on print, eBook and audio lists, she will use new site platforms, as well as mobile and video technologies.

Stockfield’s extensive publishing and TV experience includes her most recent position as SVP of marketing for Viacom-owned MTV, where she oversaw all off-channel campaign strategies, digital and social marketing efforts, and consumer advertising for the channel’s major events.

Prior to MTV, Stockfield served as VP of marketing and digital media for Disney/ABC Television Group’s trade book division, Hyperion. There, she worked on interactive eBook offerings like Ashley Juergens, which included video footage from the first season of ABC Family’s The Secret Life of the American Teenager. She also held previous marketing and digital roles at both Disney Channel and Cartoon Network.
