Sony Pictures Consumer Products (SPCP) is building out its talent base in anticipation of new film licenses joining its roster, plus the expansion of existing programs for movies and franchises including Sony Pictures Animation’s EMOJIMOVIE: EXPRESS YOURSELF, Smurfs: The Lost Village and Hotel Transylvania.
Roger Estrada (pictured) was brought in as SVP of creative, and will lead the consumer products design and development team to support global consumer products strategies. Estrada previously worked on properties like Despicable Me and The Secret Life of Pets at NBCUniversal.
Stacey Kerr joins the team as SVP of licensing, overseeing licensing strategy for SPCP’s entire slate of entertainment properties. She will focus on retail development, category management, gaming, location-based entertainment and product development. Before joining SPCP, Kerr worked in Twentieth Century Fox’s consumer products division on properties including Avatar, Ice Age and Alien.
Both Estrada and Kerr will report to Jamie Stevens, who was recently named EVP of worldwide consumer products.
