Xilam names Oggy and the Cockroaches rep

Dream Theatre will represent the brand across all consumer products categories in India for two years.

French animation studio Xilam has appointed Dream Theatre to represent its global children’s brand Oggy and the Cockroaches in India.

The agreement will see the South Asian brand management and licensing company represent Oggy across all categories and brand promotion for two years.

Non-dialog Oggy and the Cockroaches airs on Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon, and the show’s fifth season is premiering on Cartoon Network Asia in fall 2017.

New episodes will see Oggy and the roaches traveling back in time and to the future as they continue their seasons-long battle. Seasons six and seven will premiere in 2018.

Dream Theatre’s appointment was made as Xilam expands its consumer products program for the brand, following Marie-Laure Marchand’s appointment as SVP of global consumer products for the company earlier this year.

Oggy targets kids ages six to 11 and, and since the series features slapstick comedy with no dialog, it has seen success in a number of territories including France, Italy and South Asia.  The brand is distributed in more than 160 countries around the work and is watched in 600 million homes.
