Random House Children’s Books has picked up Dan and Phil Go Outside, the second young adult book from YouTube creators Dan Howell and Phil Lester.

The pair’s sophomore novel will be published in hardcover and ebook on November 3 with an initial US print run of 500,000. North American rights for Dan and Phil Go Outside were acquired from Ebury Press (Penguin Random House UK) and agents Fleur Brooklin Smith and Mike Cook of FlipSide Talent.

Howell (known on YouTube as danisnotonfire) and Lester (AmazingPhil) are the bestselling authors of The Amazing Book Is Not On Fire, which debuted at number one on the New York Times young adult hardcover list in October 2015. The book has spent 29 weeks on the list, with 13 of them in the number one spot. There are over 450,000 copies in print to date in the US.

Dan and Phil Go Outside chronicles the highs and lows of Howell and Lester’s journey around the world on tour as they performed their The Amazing Tour Is Not On Fire stage show, which supported their debut book. The Amazing Tour Is Not On Fire Show sold more than 170,000 tickets and sold out venues including the Beacon Theater in New York and the London Palladium.
