After taking We Bare Bears to young coding enthusiasts via Scratch, Cartoon Network is turning to the coding platform once again in a new Powerpuff Girls initiative.
The kidsnet will premiere “Viral Spiral,” the first of two coding-themed episodes of the hit series on June 9 at 6:30 p.m. (ET/PT), and launch a free Powerpuff Girls coding tutorial, Make It Fly, on www.cartoonnetwork.com/Scratch that teaches kids how to make interactive animations and games.
CN’s latest coding effort follows its collaboration with the White House earlier this year on the Computer Science for All initiative, a science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) movement geared to make coding and other hands-on learning an integral part in student education.
The kidnet’s collaboration with Scratch at the MIT Media Lab is part of its ongoing commitment to enhance kids’ learning around science, technology, engineering, arts and math (STEAM).
