Sally Riley has been appointed head of scripted production at ABC TV, where she will lead the Australian broadcaster’s fiction, comedy, indigenous and children’s production teams.
Formerly ABC TV’s head of indigenous, Riley will continue to work with indie producers to bring scripted series into the pubcaster’s pipeline.
She will work alongside ABC’s newly appointed head of children’s and education, Michael Carrington, who will join the broadcaster in a few months. Carrington, formerly CEO at Zodiak Kids Studios, is taking over from interim kids boss Luka Skandle. He stepped into the role in the wake of Deirdre Brennan’s departure in March.
