UK kids to get their hands on Nexo Knights toys, app

A branded toy range and gaming app are launching in the UK to coincide with the debut of the animated Lego Nexo Knights series, which currently airs daily on both Cartoon Network UK and US.

A new branded toy range and gaming app are launching in the UK to coincide with the debut of the animated Lego Nexo Knights series, which currently airs daily on both Cartoon Network UK and US.

The Merlok 2.0 app will follow the same premise as the television series, which depicts a medieval kingdom that is set in a futuristic world, where five knights must join forces to battle an evil force and his monster army.

Cartoon Network’s partnership with Lego includes microsite hosted by Cartoon Network, which will introduce kids to the Nexo Knights toy range. The microsite features exclusive content including the Wield the Shield mini-game, which offers the opportunity for kids to enter a competition for a chance to win an range of prizes, including the entire toy range. Additionally, once kids reach a certain level of the game, they will be rewarded with an exclusive power-up shield that can be scanned and used to battle monsters while playing the ‘Merlok 2.0 app.

The microsite will run live from today through March 4.

The Lego-Cartoon Network collaboration is the latest in a string of partnerships that has churned out such successful properties as Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu, Justice League: Batman Be-Leaguered and Mixels.
