Wicked Cool Toys and Teddy Ruxpin owner Alchemy II are teaming up to relaunch the franchise globally via toys, content and a comprehensive L&M program for fall 2017.
Teddy Ruxpin, the world’s first fully animated talking toy, was created by former Disney Imagineer Ken Forsee. The storytelling teddy launched in 1985 and went on to sell more than eight million units in a few short years. It was also named of the 100 greatest toys of all time by Time.
The revived brand will look to engage with a new generation of kids through wholesome storytelling, exciting interactive adventures and cutting-edge technology.
Wicked Cool Toys co-presidents Jeremy Padawer and Michael Rinzler will be meeting with potential partners at upcoming industry events such as Kidscreen Summit in Miami and New York Toy Fair.
