Fans of 17-year-old comedian, actor and Vine star Nash Grier, who is repped by AwesomenessTV, have a new way to follow and communicate with him. Grier has launched a new app offering through mobile platform Victorious.
Victorious, which launched in April, provides influencers and brands with a social platform to create interactive apps that aim to help them foster a deeper connection with fans. The free app, available on Andoid and iOS, offers followers questions and polls, updates on an influencer’s work, as well as the opportunity to create posts and directly message one another.
YouTube stars Lilly Singh and Ryan Higa have both launched apps through the service, as have digital networks such as Machinima, The Young Turks and Jukin Media.
For his part, Grier has a massive following online, with more than 12 million fans on Vine, four million on YouTube and five million on Twitter. He recently appeared in the direct-to-consumer film The Outfield and has dabbled in directing music videos.
In May 2014, Grier, along with Vine collaborator Cameron Dallas, signed with AwesomenessTV to make a movie with the DreamWorks-owned network’s founder and CEO Brian Robbins. As part of that deal, AwesomenessTV became the exclusive representative for Grier and Dallas across all social media platform, aside from Vine, and for YouTube advertising.
