A second season of movement and health-based preschool series The Moblees has hit the production pipeline ahead of its anticipated television debut on Canadian pubcaster Kids’ CBC some time next year.
The 20 x 11-minute season is being produced by Toronto’s Shaftesbury and Halifax-based Boulevard and will be distributed by Shaftesbury Sales Company. The live-action interactive musical series, the first season of which bowed on CBC last December, is designed to get preschoolers moving through physical fitness.
The show has seen a strong presence beyond the small screen. The Moblees inspired a live tour this past summer that attracted more than 50,000 people at events across Canada, and there’s also a branded website, a Moblee Medals collectible program, a companion app and extended content on YouTube.
