Gaumont Television, the production company behind the anticipated Noddy reboot, has appointed Nicola Andrews to the newly created VP of distribution post.
Based in London and reporting to Erik Pack, president of international distribution, Andrews will be responsible for selling the company’s lineup of children’s programming – including Calimero, Belle and Sebastian and Welcome to Bric-a-Broc – into the US, Canada and Western Europe, as well as selling all of Gaumont Television programming into Benelux.
Andrews’s appointment follows the Paris-based film and TV company’s rebranding, which took place last month and merged Gaumont International Television in LA, Gaumont Television Europe and Gaumont Animation into one centralized Gaumont Television division.
Andrews has spent the past two decades specializing in TV sales and acquisitions. Most recently, she has operated her own media consultancy firm Hemisphere Distribution based in London. Previous roles include head of acquisitions for Cineflix Rights, and MD of animation studio BKN New Media Limited. She has also worked in television sales for Sony Pictures and Carlton International (which merged with Granada International in 2004).
