Maker Studios to bring original content to Verizon’s Go90

The Disney-owned MCN will provide Verizon's mobile video service with eight new original series, including Marvel and Star Wars titles.
October 30, 2015

Disney-owned MCN Maker Studios and Verizon’s new Go90 video streaming service will collaborate on a slate of original series for the Go90 platform, as well as a number of live Maker events.

New series include comic book-centered Marvel’s Off the Rack, Star Wars super-fan doc series In a Galaxy, Minecraft series Fantasy Quest, a yet-to-be-titled dance competition series starring the hip-hop dance crew Jabbawockeez (winners of America’s Best Dance Crew) and prank show Prank School.

A premiere date for the series has yet to be revealed, and information on episode numbers and lengths have not been announced.

In addition to the new series coming to the platform, Go90 has also committed to streaming more than 100 hours of footage from upcoming live Maker fan events. Maker will also provide Go90 with a large slate of non-exclusive, short-form videos from its library, with the slate refreshed and updated monthly.

The mobile streaming platform, which joined an ever-growing crop of subscription services earlier this month, has secured a number of content deals from high-profile creators and networks, including a new dance competition series from So You Think You Can Dance producer Nigel Lythgoe.
