Comic book publisher Ape Entertainment has teamed up with Sesame Workshop to release three new original standalone Sesame Street comic books, which will appear in print and eBook formats.

The first full-color 28-page print title, Another Sunny Day, will launch October 28, followed by Blast from the Past on November 23 and Many Friendly Neighbors on January 1, each retailing for US$3.99.

Starring Sesame characters such as Elmo, Big Bird, Cookie Monster and Grover, each comic features multiple stories and pop culture spoofs, as well as a “How to Read a Comic” section for parents to use with their kids.

The titles will launch digitally in December across all major eBook stores including the iBooks Store, Amazon Kindle Store, Google Play and NOOK Books.

A previous Ape Sesame Street title, H is for Hero, will also be offered for download with a new cover and come bundled with the three new comic books in print and digital in January.
