With Disney•Pixar’s animated feature film The Good Dinosaur opening on November 25, DCP has launched a far-reaching consumer products program in the US ahead of the theatrical premiere.
The cross-category product lineup ranges from toys and figures to home décor and apparel from the film, which stars an active Apatosaurus named Arlo and his young boy companion who set out on an extraordinary journey in a world where dinosaurs never went extinct.
Attached to a Disney•Pixar movie are some of the biggest names in the licensing business such as global master toy partner TOMY, Just Play, Jay Franco, Little Golden Books by Random House. Also in publishing, Disney Publishing Worldwide will be printing a number of titles, as well as an app featuring original sounds and clips from the film.
Here’s a quick look at some of the products: Galloping Butch figure (pictured) (TOMY), feature plush (Just Play), backpacks (Global Design Concepts), footwear (ACI), scooter (Bravo), bike (Huffy), game (Wonder Forge), pillow (Jay Franco), comforter (Kohl’s), picture book/ebook (Disney Press) and storybook (Little Golden Book).
All products are now available at mass retailers across the US, Disney Store locations and DisneyStore.com, which also lets fans customize items such as tech accessories, school supplies, apparel and party invitations.
