October 14, 2015

Saban Brands’ Power Rangers franchise has a new licensing agent in Planeta Junior, which will expand the presence of the boys action brand throughout Spain, Italy, Greece, Turkey, Portugal, Cyprus and parts of Eastern Europe.

Together with Saban Brands and global master toy licensee Bandai, Planeta Junior will promote licensing opportunities across all categories and with an eye to introducing the brand to new territories. Meanwhile, the brand’s recent TV series Power Rangers Super Megaforce  has been picked up by Spanish pubcaster Clan TV for an air date this fall, along with its newest season, Power Rangers Dino Charge, which will bow this spring.

Since the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers launched in 1993, the series has become one of the longest-running live-action kids series in television history. The Power Rangers brand is managed by Saban Brands Entertainment Group division, which is poised for growth following the appointment of the company’s first CEO, Janet Hsu, this past summer.
