Nickelodeon is adding a dash of magic to its programming lineup with the addition of new live-action series Talia in the Kitchen.
Kicking off on July 6 at 7:30 p.m. (ET/PT), this daily scripted series (20 x half hours) comes from the mind of Catharina Ledeboer and is produced by Nickelodeon Latin America, the team behind Every Witch Way.
Filmed in Miami, Talia in the Kitchen tags along as 14-year-old Talia (Maria Quezada) tries to revive the family’s restaurant business with food that literally stirs up people’s emotions, with help from her friends and her late father’s magical spices.
The series will air in its 7:30 p.m. time slot Monday to Friday, right after episodes from the fourth and final season of Every Witch Way. Both shows will be available for viewing on Nick.com, the Nick App and Nick On Demand a day after their linear TV debuts.
Nickelodeon has a number of magic-themed series on its plate. Along with Every Witch Way and Talia in the Kitchen, the broadcaster recently joined Nelvana Studios and The Topps Company as a partner on girls action series Mysticons, which sees four girls transform into warriors who undertake a quest to find a magical tome called the Codex.
