L.A.’s Lawless Entertainment and Italy’s Mondo TV have partnered up to co-produce a new 2D HD-animated series based on the Adventures in Duckport characters from art brand Suzy’s Zoo.
When it’s done, the 52 x 11-minute series will be distributed by Mondo TV everywhere except North America, which Lawless will handle in addition to licensing and merchandising in most global territories.
Former BBC exec Theresa Plummer-Andrews will serve as script editor on the show, which is geared to kids ages four to eight and will make its market debut at MIPCOM in October.
Suzy’s Zoo was created in 1968 by San Diego artist Suzy Spafford. The brand has already spawned a wide range of consumer products, including baby clothing, greeting cards, bedding, books, tableware and games.
