LIMA awards the year’s top licensed properties, products

The consumer products campaign for Disney's mega-hit movie Frozen took top honors for overall best licensed program at yesterday's Excellence Awards, hosted by the International Licensing Industry Merchandisers' Association (LIMA). Read on for the full list of this year's winners.

The consumer products campaign for Disney’s mega-hit movie Frozen took top honors for overall best licensed program at yesterday’s Excellence Awards, hosted by the International Licensing Industry Merchandisers’ Association (LIMA).

The Disney property also helped Kohl’s Department Stores win best retailer, for its in-store presentation of Frozen.

Recognizing the year’s most successful licensed properties and products, the awards were announced at Licensing Expo, which is currently underway in Las Vegas.

Along with Frozen, other notable wins include Jakks Pacific tying with Playmates Toys’ Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles product line for the win in the Entertainment Animated Licensee: Hard Goods category for its Disney’s Frozen/Snow Glow Elsa doll, and Mojang’s video game Minecraft sweeping the Digital category.
