Nickelodeon has announced the nominees for its second-annual Kids’ Choice Sports awards, giving kids in the US a chance to vote online for their favorite athletes in 12 cross-sport categories.

A live telecast to announce the winners will be hosted by Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson on July 16 (8 p.m. ET/PT).

On the interactive front, Nick.com/sports and the Nick app will offer short sports videos featuring Nick shows, alongside new games and photo galleries of the all-star athletes.

On the day of the event, kids will be able to watch a live photo stream straight from the Orange Carpet on all Nickelodeon digital platforms, in addition to accessing pictures of nominated athletes in action.
