Robert Miller, who is back in the biz after taking a 16-month hiatus, is relaunching his Toronto, Canada-based agency Studio Licensing.
With Miller at the helm as president, the reborn agency now offers a new set of services to potential clients, including brand and licensed-property representation, licensed manufacturer consultation and retail development.
Founded in 1998 by Miller and his wife Deborah Miller, Studio Licensing is most notable for its 13-year relationship with Nickelodeon. As Nick’s exclusive Canadian licensing agent until 2011, the company handled the property management and licensing of all Nickelodeon, MTV and Comedy Central IPs in the territory.
Other popular kids properties that Studio Licensing has repped in Canada include MGA Entertainment’s children’s brands (Lalaloopsy, Bratz, Little Tykes), Zodiak Kids’ Tickety Toc, Kidz Bop, Bombastic Fantastic’s animated character and lifestyle brand Lolligag, and Sunwoo Entertainment’s Mix Master Final Force.
