To support a growing demand in the Southeast Asia, Australia and Pacific markets for its kidsnets, Turner Asia Pacific has announced a series of changes to its management team.
As part of the exec shuffle, Turner has upped Robi Stanton (pictured) to GM of Australia, New Zealand and Pacific territories. She will oversee the company’s commercial business relationships in these markets, including ad sales, content sales and network distribution.
Turner has also hired Voo Chih Yeong as its new VP of Southeast Asia. He assumes responsibility for affiliate partnerships in key markets, such as Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia, effective June 3. Most recently, he worked at Sony Pictures Television Networks Asia.
Rounding out the list, Vishal Dembla has been promoted to VP of Hong Kong and Southeast Asia, with a remit that includes Hong Kong, Thailand and Indochina. He goes into the role with a wide range of experience, having recently spearheaded a number of projects including the launch of Toonami, Boomerang and POGO in Thailand, and he was also part of the team that developed Oh!K – the region’s newest Korean entertainment channel.
