Roku boosts kids vertical with Sesame Street Go

Sesame Workshop’s ad-free on-demand video service Sesame Street Go is joining streaming platform Roku’s burgeoning kids and family channel portfolio.

The new Sesame Street Go channel is now available to Roku customers in the US via their Roku players and Roku TV models, and can be located in the Roku Channel Store within the kids and family category.

Sesame Street Go launched in November as a web service and free SVOD app for iOS and Android mobile devices featuring a robust lineup of new full-length TV episodes, classic segments such as Elmo’s World, ┬áplus short-form “minisodes” including The Hungry Games: Catching Fur and Don’t Eat the Guests from new series The Furchester Hotel.

Hundreds of full-length episodes from Sesame Street‘s previous 44 seasons are also accessible, as well as Sesame Classics Volumes 1 and 2.

Subscriptions (US$3.99 per month or US$29.99 per year) are available to access premium Sesame Street.

Sesame Street Go joins other popular kids channels already attached to Roku including Nat Geo Kids, Toon Goggles, PBS KIDS, BabyFirst, Angry Birds Toons and Disney Channel.
