Genius Brands International is bringing Thomas Edison’s Secret Lab to more homes around the world, thanks to a new multi-territory deal with broadcaster Da Vinci Learning.

The educational channel reaches a global audience of 19 million, and has picked up the rights to air the science-based animated series in Russia, Central and Eastern Europe, Turkey and Africa.

This latest deal comes on the heels of Genius Brands tapping NCircle Entertainment as the IP’s North American home entertainment partner. NCircle is set to distribute Thomas Edison’s Secret Lab digitally and on DVD at major US retail outlets and online, starting this December.

And in TV news, the show will debut on Netflix in July and on PBS stations and the Kid Genius Cartoon Channel on Comcast in September. The Secret Lab brand also has a brand-new app in the works, courtesy of interactive media producer FatRedCouch.
