Superights has nabbed distribution rights for three TV specials adapted from Benjamin Renner comic books by French prodco Folivari.
May 4, 2015

Paris-based distributor Superights has inked a deal with French prodco¬†Folivari to distribute a collection of three TV specials adapted from Benjamin Renner’s comic books—The Big Bad Fox, A Baby To Deliver and A Perfect Christmas.

Being produced for Canal+ and StudioCanal by Didier Brunner’s new shingle Folivari, the specials will use a simple graphic style and follow the adventures of ¬†main characters—a weedy fox, a naive rabbit, a none-too-bright duck and a grumpy pig—on crazy adventures outside their farm. Renner is also writing the specials and directing The Big Bad Fox.

Renner and Brunner previously worked together on Ernest & Celestine, which earned a best animated feature Oscar nomination in 2014.
