Parragon rejigs executive team

With a new Disney license and the recent launch of a kit and gift division, well-known kids licensee Parragon Books has restructured its senior management team.

With a new Disney license for color, sticker and activity books in North America in hand, and following the recent launch of its kit and gift division, UK-based Parragon Books has restructured its senior management team.

Wendy Friedman, current president and COO of Parragon International, has been upped to president of creative at Parragon. She will be responsible for setting the top-level creative direction of all Parragon’s products across its books and kit/gift divisions. Friedman will also oversee global marketing and co-edition/rights sales.

In another promotion, Parragon’s current UK managing director Darren Witherall assumes the role of president, EMEA, where he will handle all trading activities in the UK, Australia, New Zealand, India and Germany.

And joining Parragon as North American president is Kim Brown, the current  SVP of merchandise at Baker & Taylor. Brown will be tasked with growing the company’s trading business in North America across its books and kit/gift divisions.
