In step with its multiplatform efforts, Nickelodeon has launched an app for the Apple Watch that lets parents use the device to manage the time kids spend using the preschool-targeted Nick Jr. App.

The Nick Jr. Apple Watch app can be used in tandem with the Nick Jr. App for iPhone. Parents can control screen time with a timer, supervise kids’ activities on the iPhone and regulate volume settings with the watch app. They can also stop or start playback.

Launched late last year, the Nick Jr. App provides games, educational activities, live simulcast streaming of Nick Jr. and on-demand eps, as well as over 100 short-form videos.

The iPhone-compatible Apple Watch is scheduled to start shipping on April 24.
