The Toy Industry Association has appointed long-time president and CEO of Partnership for Drug-Free Kids to lead the nonprofit organization.
Stephen Pasierb officially starts his new role heading up the TIA at the end April, following the retirement of current president and CEO, Carter Keithley.
He will be tasked with fostering growth and development of the 750-member company organization, which account for 90% of US domestic toy sales.
In his previous role, Pasierb oversaw the largest nonprofit aimed at reducing substance abuse among adolescents in the US, and frequently served as a commentator on social issues ranging from childhood substance abuse to public health.
He has also held high-ranking positions in marketing and media communications firms in Baltimore, Maryland and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and has served on a number of boards and committees for charitable organizations.
