Iconix taps licensing vet to grow Strawberry Shortcake brand

Iconix Brand Group has named Cathy Hoffman Glosser as SVP of licensing and retail business development at Iconix Entertainment, where she will help grow the company's most recent acquisition, Strawberry Shortcake.

Iconix Brand Group has named Cathy Hoffman Glosser SVP of licensing and retail business development at Iconix Entertainment, where she will head up business development for the company’s most recent acquisition, Strawberry Shortcake.

Iconix bought Strawberry Shortcake from American Greetings for US $105 million in February. The iconic global brand, which debuted 35 years ago, now boasts more than 350 licensees worldwide.

Hoffman Glosser will also support the growth of Iconix Entertainment, a new and developing division for Iconix Brand Group.

Before joining Iconix, she spent the last decade working with The Trump Organization, creating and developing the Trump brand licensing program from inception into a full service licensing division. She also has experience in the character entertainment world, having worked at Saban and Marvel in senior licensing roles.
